Located off the coast of Praslin Island, Curieuse island has everything that you look for in an adventure trip. We had booked a half day trip to the island which comes with a Snorkeling stop and this one of the best times we had on our trip to Seychelles.

About Curieuse Island
The island was a leper’s colony until the mid 1900’s, now with the mangrove trails, turquoise waters, and rich biodiversity, it offers a raw, immersive escape into nature’s untouched beauty and conservation heritage.
Getting to Curieuse Island
A short 20-minute boat ride from Praslin lands you St. Jose beach, gateway to Curieuse. Most tours include pickup from Côte d’Or Beach and combine stops at nearby St Pierre Islet for snorkeling.
Note: Hotel transfers to the departure point are commonly included for those staying in Praslin hotels.
How to book your trip?
We booked our trip through Getyourguide for a half day trip to Curieuse island along with BBQ lunch and Snorkeling. Our booking was with the Infinity Charters and the guides were experienced with the wildlife and the waters there.

Relax, swim, or sunbathe on Curieuse’s untouched white-sand beaches.

Guided Nature Trail Hike
Embark on a guided walk through mangrove forests, spot rare Coco de Mer palms, and explore the historic ruins of the former leper colony.

Beachside BBQ Lunch
Refuel with a delicious BBQ lunch served under swaying palms—fresh seafood, Creole flavors, and chilled island vibes (often included in tours).

Snorkeling at St Pierre Islet
Head to nearby St Pierre Islet, a granite outcrop known for vibrant coral gardens, reef fish, and crystal-clear waters—perfect for snorkeling.

Sail back with memories of tortoises, turquoise waters, and untouched nature. Drop-off at your hotel.
